GOM Operators Restart Production, Assess Damage in Wake of Hurricane Sally

Companies operations in the Gulf of Mexico and along the US Gulf Coast are in the midst of restarting production and assessing damage following the landfall of Hurricane Sally earlier in the week, according to multiple reports.

Approximately 1/4 of total GOM production (over 500,000 BOPD of oil production and 800 Mmcf of natural gas production) was shut-in earlier in the week as the storm approached the coastlines of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

Crews are currently being dispatched back to offshore rigs to facilitate the production restart as well as address any damages that the storm caused.
